We had a great chat with Todd on Tuesday evening to discuss version 2 of the floor plan. Some changes we discussed:
• Putting a utility sink in the garage
• Making the garage door 18’ instead of the 16’ that it currently is
• Moving the washer/dryer to the basement and putting in a dumbwaiter to transport both the laundry and long-term storage items to the basement
• The pantry/mudroom will have a barn door (the drawing shows a pocket door)
• Moving the kitchen island a little closer to the sink
• Connecting the porch outside of the kitchen to the deck
• Using a pedestal sink for the ½ bath on the main floor
• Removing the tub in the master bath and making the shower a walk-in type
• Adding a wall between the sink and toilet
• Replacing the sliding door in the master bedroom with a double French door
• Making the deck for the main entrance smaller and adding some sort of covering
We are getting close to a final main floor layout!
